All-State Music Auditions: 22 students make cut

Congratulations to Avanthi Sai Ajjarapu,Tulika Biswas, Sadie Botine, Lawrence Chiou, Tim Fernando, Frances Hindt, Joe Iverson, Tanya Liu, Scott MacDonald, Arianne Mendoza, David Shirbroun, Hanna Sundberg, Michelle Tsai, and John Yang for making All-State Orchestra, Dylan Larson-Konar, Rachel Paxton, and Grace Warren for making All-State Chorus, and Tom Gehring, David Lee, Lauren Naylor, Hannah Vollbrecht, and Katie Wallace for making All-State Band. The auditions were held Oct. 24 in Indianola, and the All-State Music Festival will be from November 19 to 21 and the concert will be on the 21st in Hilton Coliseum. In total, less than one-fifth of auditioning students were selected for the Fesitval. The students will have to go through another round of auditions for seating assignments.
