10 questions with Senior Rachel Paxton

Activities: Choir, musical, madrigal, Senior Mentors, NHS When did you first start singing? I think in 3rd grade I joined Ames Children’s Choir and I think that was the first time anybody realized I could sing. Favorite song/artist/band/composer? Right now, my favorite song is Careful by Guster. The one thing I listen to that I never get tired of is the Les Miserables soundtrack. I listen to a lot of musicals and a lot of a capella What’s one interesting thing that nobody knows about you/your deepest darkest secret? I can yodel pretty well, actually. That was pretty useful in Sound of Music, freshman year. I sometimes do it to bother my sisters in Wal-Mart or some other public place. Favorite quote/motto in life Anything worth doing is worth doing well. My grandma always told me that. Describe your personality in 4.5 words Optimistic…mmm….assertive, curious…alright that’s three… What animal would you enjoy being reincarnated as? Uhh….Hummingbird What are you going to do with your life after leaving high school? Hopefully attend Brigham Young University and double major in Linguistics and Music. What did you want to be when you grew up? When I was in 8th grade I really wanted to be an FBI agent. Do you still want to be an FBI agent? Sometimes I like to fantasize…but I don’t think it’d actually happen. Favorite high calorie food! Pumpkin cream cheese bars that my mom makes. I could down ten of those, they’re so good.
