As summer approaches, the releases of several new music albums are growing closer and closer. This summer, a variety of artists, including old favorites and rising stars, plan on debuting a wide selection of new music. Among the most anticipated albums this season consist of those by artists including David Cook, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, and Charice Pempengco. David Cook : The American Idolâs second album, This Loud Morning , is set to be released on June 28. The songs in the album, many of which were co-wrote with various artists, include âTonight Is on Our Sideâ and âThe Last Goodbye.â Cookâs new album will be of the same genre, rock, as his former album, so it will be a good option for people who enjoy music by artists such as Daughtry, or Kelly Clarkson. Lady Gaga : Lady Gagaâs much-anticipated album, Born this Way, will be released on May 23. The full album will consist of 15 tracks, including several already-popular songs, such as âThe Edge of Gloryâ and, of course, the song after which the album is named, âBorn This Way.â Coldplay : Coldplayâs first album since the release of Viva la Vida or Death and all his Friends, nearly three years ago, is set to be released in either late summer or early fall of 2011. Although the title of the album has not been released yet, several song names have, including âPrincess of Chinaâ and âEvery Teardrop Is A Waterfallâ. According to Coldplay member Chris Martin, in an interview with BBC News, the album will be a âthinly veiled account of what happens within the groupâ along with uplifting melodies and lyrics. Charice : Chariceâs currently untitled sophomore album, which will likely have a stronger R&B feel than her previous albums, is scheduled to come out in fall of 2011. The exact date is not yet determined, however, several singles to be included in the album have been released. These include âOne Dayâ and âAll by myselfâ.
