Anchorman 2 Announced

Anchorman 2 One of the greatest comedy movies of all time Anchorman has recently been announced to have a sequel. Anchorman, a movie about a 1970’s action news reporter and jazz flutist Ron Burgundy, played by the always hilarious Will Ferrell, is widely regarded as one of the greatest comedies of this decade. On march 28th the sequel was announced by Will Ferrell himself, dressed up as Ron Burgundy of course, on the Conan O’brien show. Anchorman 2 will be co-written by Will Ferrell and Adam Mckay. Actor Steve Carell (Brick Tamland) and Paul Rudd (Brian Fantana) will also be returning in Anchorman 2. As far as a release date goes Anchorman 2 is said to be released sometime in 2013. The first Anchorman Movie grossed over 91 million dollars while in theaters, and this sequel is expected to crush this number. Anchorman 2 has been in development for a very long time. Paramount has been hesitant to give it a sequel since many members of the original cast have since become vastly more popular, in turn meaning that it would cost significantly more to cast them. “Graciously Steve and Paul and everyone agreed to cut their price to come and do it, which you dont see often in hollywood – and cut their price substantially” said write and director Adam McKay. Fans of the first Anchorman movie everywhere should be excited to see this great cast come back together to make a sequel to what was such a great movie. After All, “it was made illegal in 9 countries and made with bits of real panther, so you know its good.” Well I hope you enjoyed this article and as always, “stay classy San Diego.”
