AHS adopts new internet policy

During homeroom Wednesday Feb. 8, AHS students were given Computer Technology Acceptable Use Policy forms to sign. The terms included restrictions on websites not intended for educational purposes– specifically Myspace.com– and non-school-related e-mail use. Students are also limited to printing 20 pages per week, although this is not a new rule. Students who violate the terms “should expect to lose computer privileges for the remainder of the school year.” Several students have complained about the seeming ambiguity of the forms.
