BP elected new co-presidents

Wednesday, May 9, juniors Daniel Park and Sam Bird were elected the new student council co-presidents for the 2007-2008 school year. Park and Bird’s platform includes renovating the courtyard, putting up more student artwork around Ames High, making the bike racks more accessible to students, and installing hand dryers in bathrooms in place of paper towels to stay environmentally friendly. A student council meeting will be held May 23 at 8:30 a.m. in social studies teacher Chuck Stevens’ room.
